6 Affiliated Ontario Youth Team Players Named to Canada Junior National Team Roster

CAMBRIDGE – The Ontario Baseball Association (OBA) is pleased to announce that six current Ontario Youth Team Players from affiliated programs have been named to the 2025 Canadian Junior National Team roster for the Extended Spring Training Camp.

The Baseball Canada’s Junior National Team is set to kick off its 2025 campaign with the annual Extended Spring Training Camp, running from April 16 to April 24 in Dunedin, Florida. This annual event serves as a crucial development opportunity for the country’s top amateur talent as they prepare to represent Canada on the international stage.

Ontario Youth Team Players:

  • Noah Powell (Toronto, ON) – Committed to Missouri State
  • Keegan Russell (Whitby, ON)
  • Julian Sabourin (Ancaster, ON) – Committed to Oregon State
  • Adyn Schell (Toronto, ON) – Committed to Missouri State
  • Philip Cheong (Richmond Hill, ON) – Committed to Stanford
  • Quinn Carson (Oakville, ON – Committed to Missouri

The Ontario Youth Team is currently in preparations to compete in the 2025 Canada Summer Games in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Tryouts for the 2025 Ontario Youth Team being April 25 in Oakville. Players interested can registers here.

The Ontario Youth Team is looking to defend their 2022 Gold Medal at the Canada Summer Games and is led by Head Coach JG Larocque, General Manager Frank Fascia and Assistant Coaches Shawn Schaefer, and Perry Scott.
