Ontario Baseball Association's Rep Council will consider applications for National Qualifiers Tournament hosts at the Rep Council meeting taking in January (date TBD). If more than one application is received for any given National Qualifiers Tournament, presentations will be made at this meeting by each applicant.
Ontario Baseball Association would like to remind applicants seeking multi-year hosting rights of National Qualifiers that the dates of the National Tournaments vary and may result in the Ontario Baseball Association requiring the National Qualifiers Tournament to be held on a date other than the Civic Holiday weekend.
In order for bids to be considered, applicants are required to be available in person or via conference call to make a presentation to the Rep Council and to answer any questions at the meeting as indicated above.
Please Note: All OBA National Qualifier Tournament schedules will be completed by OBA with input from the host.

5. Host Requirements
The Host agrees to adhere to all Baseball Ontario rules as they relate to Elimination tournaments, and the Official Rules of Baseball, where applicable.
For 22U and below, any tournament with more than 18 teams is required to start on Thursday with one full round played Thursday evening. Two rounds of play must be scheduled for the Friday of the event. For all series, the schedule should be setup to allow for four 3-hour time slots at each of 6 or 7 diamonds. Given the likely size of the tournaments, it is anticipated that the schedules will go into the Monday.
For Senior, the number of rounds scheduled to be completed on Friday may be 1.5 rounds with the Winner’s bracket playing Round 2 on Friday while the Loser’s bracket will play Round 2 on Saturday.
6. Facilities
A minimum of 6 fields is required to host Eliminations, and 7 is preferred. If there are 25 or fewer teams, 6 fields will be necessary. If there are more than 25 teams, 7 fields will be necessary. All diamonds must have lights.
8. Umpires
Please Note: The Baseball Ontario Umpire Committee is currently reviewing the umpire structure for Elimination Tournaments. Hosts will be notified of any changes.
Baseball Ontario will facilitate the umpires at each of the Elimination Tournaments. The goal is to use a blend of local and OBA-selected umpires to officiate each event. Baseball Ontario will work with the local host to ensure quality umpiring for the Eliminations.
Baseball Ontario's Umpires Committee will recommend fees for umpires to accepted hosts. Hosts may pay more than the Baseball Ontario recommendation.
13. Acknowledgement and Submission
By submitting this application, you agree to abide by the rules governing Baseball Ontario and its elimination tournaments. Please note: that in addition to completing the Elimination Tournament draws, Baseball Ontario will work with the host to create the even schedule as well.
