Goal:
- To instruct players in the Mosquito age division on the basic mechanics of pitching.

- The idea is for each Association to host at least one “My First Pitch” clinic at the beginning of their season aimed at developing pitchers in this age group and to go over some fundamental throwing skills.
- Appoint a “My First Pitch” coordinator and assemble a event committee
- The clinic would be approximately 2-3 hr in length held on one baseball field.
- All players would be welcome to attend.
- Players can register, participate in warm up exercises and then proceed through the various stations.
Requirements:
- Baseball Canada has developed a “My First Pitch” Coach Work book. It includes how to demonstrate the stretch position, full wind-up, proper grip of the baseball, setting up on the mound, momentum towards plate, stride, landing the front foot, releasing the ball and following through, along with coaching points and drills.
